Dance Through the Decades Fundraiser

Do you want to shake a leg? Boogie down? Bust a move?
Get ready to foxtrot, disco, and electric slide the night away for a dance through the decades of Route 66! Join our dance committee, Erica Austin, Corinne Mayfield, Ava Carpenter-McPike, and Cathy Popovitch, for this blast through the heyday of the Mother Road as a benefit for the “Miles of Memories: Stories of Route 66” exhibit at the Illinois State Museum! Enjoy a lively evening with great music and Route 66-inspired treats! Dance Through the Decades will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Illinois State Museum, 502 South Spring Street, Springfield, IL 62706.

Dress up or down; style yourself in your favorite decade, costumes are highly encouraged!

Delicious road trip-inspired eats and a cash bar will be available.

Proceeds benefit the Illinois State Museum’s “Miles of Memories: Stories of Route 66” exhibition, part of the 250: Land of Stories.
