Día de Muertos Celebration
Celebrate Día de Muertos with McLean County Museum of History on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 2-7 p.m. All ages are welcome at this free event featuring art, music, activities, food trucks, and an interactive community ofrenda.
This year, our Annual Día de Muertos Celebration is presented by First Site Property Management, Hacienda Leon, and Tony’s Tacos. Western Avenue Community Center is also a major sponsor. Their support is empowering us to improve and grow this event – you won’t want to miss it.
We’re bringing in two new musical acts: the Kingsley Junior High School Choir and Beatriz Montes!
Marcos Mendez will kick off the event at 2 p.m.
Then, at 4 p.m., the KJHS Choir will perform a selection of songs prepared specifically for this celebration.
Beatriz Montes, a mariachi queen previously featured on Univision, will enchant us with Ranchera music immediately following the KJHS Choir, around 4:40 p.m.
Our musical performances are timed, but the rest of the event’s activities will be ongoing — come and go as you please!
As always, attendees are encouraged to bring a photo of loved ones who have passed to add to our community ofrenda.
