Route 66 Centennial

The first issue of the US Route 66 Centennial newsletter has launched.

To coincide with the launch of the US Route 66 Centennial website earlier this week, the exclusive publication features activities, events, and projects now through 2026. It also features interviews and stories with individuals, businesses, travelers, and writers who make the Mother Road so special.

Members of the Route 66 Centennial Birthday Party Club will receive the monthly newsletter. There are three membership levels, ranging from FREE to $66 to $166 a year, each offering unique benefits.

Bill Thomas, Commissioner for the US Route 66 Centennial Commission and Chair of the Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership, said, “The Route 66 Centennial monthly newsletter will provide all members of the Route 66 Centennial Birthday Club with updates on Route 66 Centennial activities, interviews with Route 66 heroes with the central question, ‘What does Route 66 mean to you?’, and exclusive Route 66 Centennial merchandise.

“The Centennial is about recognizing the rich history of Route 66, and the newsletter will help tell the stories that make the Mother Road legendary. So, start planning your next adventure on the Mother Road.”

The Route 66 Road Ahead Partnership is a national nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing and sustaining Route 66 as a national icon and international destination. It is responsible for the Route 66 Centennial newsletter, a component of the Route 66 Centennial Communications Plan recommended by the Route 66 Centennial Commission.
