Gillespie Fourth Fridays July

Gillespie Fourth Fridays runs July through October in 2026, with the kickoff this Friday eve. Brick and Mortar night is from 5-9pm, and features local shopping, restaurant specials, a book signing by Jim Marcacci at Illinois Coal Museum, movie night at Colonial Giving Garden and more!

At the Grow Gillespie Colonial Giving Garden, at the corner of Montgomery and Chestnut, the goal is to plant seeds of hope in our community by getting our hands dirty. While growing healthy produce for our neighbors in need, At the Colonial Giving Garden, we can learn sustainable and organic gardening practices as well as laugh, and enjoy the fresh air. We hope the garden will be a place for building relationships while caring for the earth, growing good food, and sharing its nourishing harvest.
