The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the FY27 Route 66 Grant Program was announced on May 12, 2026. Read the full announcement here for project guidelines, deadlines, and funding limits. Eligible applicants include convention and visitors bureaus certified by DCEO.
THROUGH WEDNESDAY, MAY 27 AT NOON, Heritage Corridor Destinations will entertain ideas and suggestions for this grant application cycle.
If interested, please submit your project outline, an estimated budget, a short narrative, and timeline. As usual, all projects may start once the grants are approved; must have three bids for items over $10K; and must be completed by June 30, 2027. This is a competitive grant program with a maximum award amount of $500K per region and an expected $2M for the statewide program.
The grant application requires a detailed project description with timeline and budget. The grant does not support personnel/staffing, marketing and advertising, or festivals/events. the grant gives preference toward attraction development and EV trends. This is a non-match grant – however, should your project have a significant dollar amount/investment, then a demonstration of local match funds/dollars will help your project/application score higher.
Heritage Corridor Destinations will give first preference to their municipality funding partners. ALL requests must be submitted to navarro@hcdestinations.com by noon on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
Please Note: Eligible applicants include convention and visitors bureaus certified by DCEO. Applications are due by 06/11/2026. If you are not located in the Heritage Corridor Destinations region, please contact your local CVB!
