Small Town Dreamers Market in Farmersville

The Small Town Dreamers Market was founded in 2020 by Cassie & Brad Rovey, of The Rooted Home.
“We were in the midst of renovations of the Opera House to make way for the storefront. During this time I began my business with a Facebook Live Sale and it went over better than expected. Since we were in the middle of a pandemic and did not have a storefront, we utilized the front sidewalk of the The Opera House for curbside pickup. In addition to bringing customers orders, I brought in additional products for people to shop. That was a huge success. Immediately the thought of starting something slightly larger came to mind. Why can’t we invite a few other businesses to set up on the sidewalk with us and call it a market? Our village backed 110% and allowed us to do just that. Our first Small Town Dreamers Market took place in 2020 with a total of 4 businesses. By the next month we had over 20 businesses and had moved the market onto the north street of the town’s square. Not only did we have vendors, but live music, food & children’s entertainment helped mold the markets.
Now here we are in 2025 and The Rooted Home has been nestled in the storefront here at The Opera House since April 2021. The markets have continued to grow and bring in a variety of visitors to our small town here right off Interstate 55 & the old Route 66. We are so thankful for the not only the support of our community, but the support of all of the vendors , musicians & visitors. Thank you for helping us live out our dream!”
