History in our Hands at JAHM

A community coalition of the Joliet Area Historical Museum, Joliet Area African-American Context Study, and History on Wheels Museum are seeking photos, artifacts & Archival Material to expand holdings on Joliet’s Black History.
Share your information quickly and easily with onsite scanning. If you wish, your artifacts will return home with you, or can be considered for donation.
H’Aeneise Coopwood of the Joliet Area Historical Museum will present “History In Our Hands: Agency and the Preservation of Black History In Joliet, IL” at 11:30 am.
What’s included
Guests are asked to pre register by emailing: collections@jolietmuseum.org so that we are able to anticipate how many items we will be surveying on the day of the event.
Admission to the event and the museum is FREE.
