29th Annual Evergreen Cemetery Walk Bringing Local History to Life this Weekend (and Next)

September 30, 2023 @ 11:00 am - October 8, 2023 @ 2:00 pm

Evergreen Cemetery Walk

McLean County Museum of History, Illinois Voices Theatre and Evergreen Memorial Cemetery present the 29th Annual Evergreen Cemetery Walk, September 30, October 1, 7, 8, with performances at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. daily at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery (302 E. Miller St. Bloomington, IL 61701).

The Evergreen Cemetery Walk brings local history to life with professional, costumed actors portraying people from McLean County’s past on the grounds of Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Their stories illustrate the impact the people of McLean County have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally.

Serving around 3,500 people annually, including almost 2,000 students on field trips, the Evergreen Cemetery Walk is an award-winning live theatre event.

Individual ticket sales for the public weekend performances support students and those living in care facilities attending the event at a reduced cost. Individual tickets for the in-person event are $8 for children and students (with valid ID), $18 for Museum Members, and $20 for the General Public.

The Virtual Evergreen Cemetery Walk, created in response to the pandemic and adopted to increase the accessibility of the event, will be available to stream November 3-30. For in-person and virtual tickets and event information, please visit mchistory.org/learn/evergreen cemetery-walk.
