Bloomington-Normal, IL – Visit BN is thrilled to announce Melissa Chrisman as the new president and CEO of the Bloomington-Normal Area Convention and Visitors Bureau! The announcement was posted on January 7th, 2025.
A Bloomington native with over 20 years of community relations and leadership experience, Melissa returns home to lead the BNACVB.
“I look forward to working alongside the board, BNACVB team, and my hometown community on the future growth of our visitor economy. Bloomington-Normal is a great place to be, which is why I was eager to return to the area and join this dynamic organization.”
Melissa officially begins her role in February, and we’re excited for the future of tourism in the Bloomington-Normal area. Congratulations from the Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway!
