Elkhart Hill Vineyard to Release Nouveau Wine

Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway

On December 12th, Elkhart Hill Vineyard will release its first wine from grapes produced on Elkhart Hill. These Marquette grapes were picked by the Conn Family alongside family and friends on August 25, 2022.

The New Kid Nouveau Wine is the first wine to be produced from Elkhart Hill Vineyard. A smooth and sumptuous semi-dry red with hints of black cherry, dark berry, and a bit of chocolate on the nose. The New Kid Nouveau comes by its name naturally. At only 3 years old, the grandson of Court and Karen Conn, Jude, helped plant the very vines on Elkhart Hill that produced the Marquette grapes used in this wine. He is a constant reminder that work should be fun, and family makes everything better. It seemed only fitting to feature Jude on the label.

Bottled and produced by our friends at West of Wise Winery in Petersburg, Illinois. This wine is available for purchase only at Elkhart Station General Store in Downtown Historic Elkhart, Illinois.
