Even though this area has been deemed “Where Art & Industry Meet”, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the entire community to enjoy art and to be entertained.

Committed to providing state of the art entertainment in Granite City the city built a 3 screen Cinema and is currently finalizing the drawings for a multiuse entertainment complex The Mill to be used for live music, lecture series, gaming tournaments and private rental opportunities.

Who doesn’t love a festival or celebration? We can’t think of a more festive event than Mardi Gras. Yes, Granite City has its own Mardi Gras celebration and speaking of celebrations… What’s a celebration without fireworks? The Granite City Park District puts on one of the largest and most attended 4th of July firework displays in the area.

You won’t want to miss out on The Melting Pot Food Festival the first Saturday in May which celebrates the 18 different heritages that make up our community (hence the name Melting Pot) through food and music. This festival kicks off the season of The Melting Pot Market, an open-air market filled with crafters and vendors, the first Saturday May through October.

How about a Month of Magic and Mayhem which scares up some wicked fun every Saturday in October, or the Winter Wonderland Festival featuring the Elf Walk and the Candy Cane Parade. December wouldn’t be complete without this holly jolly good time.
