Two of the founding artists, Herb Eaton and Angel Ambrose, have welcomed visitors to their spaces for the Annual Art Walk in November since its inception in 2000. Over these past 23 years, Eaton and Ambrose have been privileged to witness the community of Downtown artists continually grow. What began as three artists desiring to connect with the people of Bloomington-Normal has evolved into a burgeoning downtown art scene with over 100 local artists’ work on display, 20 art spaces, and more than 35 public art installations.
This year’s Art Walk also hails two additional celebrations – the Two-Year Anniversary festivities at Mandy Roeing Fine Art Studio & Gallery and Threshold to Hope’s Grand Re-Opening in their new location on the first floor of the Fox & Hound Building as Hope Studio & Gallery!
The Art Walk is organized by BN Artists, a grassroots coalition of artists collaborating to elevate our vibrant local arts scene. To stay up to date with our local artists and current art happenings in Downtown Bloomington, join the public Facebook group Art Scene in McLean County.
