2024 Illinois Governor’s Conference on Tourism

The 2024 Illinois Governor’s Conference on Travel & Tourism will take place March 19-21, 2024 at the Peoria Civic Center.

This conference is the state’s premiere industry event. Each year, #ILGOVCONF is where tourism and hospitality professionals from across Illinois and around the country come together to learn, get inspired, collaborate, and celebrate success in a $78 billion industry and discover what’s ahead for Illinois tourism. In FY22, Illinois welcomed over 111 million visitors who spent over $44 billion generating a record $308 million in hotel/motel tax revenues. Now is the time to be part of the momentum…we hope to see you there!

Conference Venue: Peoria Civic Center

This year’s conference will take place at the Peoria Civic Center, an entertainment complex located in downtown Peoria. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee, it has an arena, theater, exhibit hall and meeting rooms, and will be the perfect setting for tourism professionals to gather and learn.

Located in the heart of Illinois, the Peoria area is only 2.5 hours from Chicago. Peoria is where Midwestern hospitality comes together with colorful character; farm-to-table cuisine; and a history deeply rooted in manufacturing, agriculture, and whiskey. When it’s time to unwind at the end of each day’s session, you can explore our vast collection of local treasures—all within walking distance of the Peoria Civic Center downtown.
