Four Rivers Story Trail
December 27, 2022 @ 8:00 am - January 3, 2023 @ 6:00 pm
This ongoing program runs from Tuesday, Dec. 27, to Tuesday, Jan. 3. Preserve hours are 8 a.m. to sunset.
Enjoy the tale “Over and Under the Snow” by Kate Messner along Four Rivers’ new Story Trail. Read the story along the trail and see for yourself the creatures that are active in winter. At each stop, there will be one to two pages to read. Compare the beautifully illustrated snow-filled pages to the wintery wilderness around you. This story is appropriate for all ages.
The story covers 0.4 mile of paved trail.
Winter is the perfect time to find out what animals live in your area. As the snow falls, animals leave behind tracks for us to find and identify. Come along on a hike and learn how to track animals. Bring along any animal track field guides you have for extra help.
Dress for the weather, as the program will be entirely outdoors.
The hike will be about 1 mile long on uneven, natural terrain with winter conditions. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering.
