STORIES OF THE ROAD: Ernie Edwards

Ernie Edwards, longtime owner of the Pig Hip Restaurant and inventor of the Pig-Hip sandwich, can be seen in our recent Stories of the Road video. The Pig Hip was a popular restaurant on Route 66 in Broadwell, Illinois. The restaurant operated from 1937-1991. Unfortunately, Ernie passed away on April 11, 2012 at the age of 94.
